Impressions of the latest Selvedge Run

With high spirits, unique flairs and a significant increase of visitors – the sixth edition of Selvedge Run convinces all along the line.

The winter edition of the “Trade show for quality garments and crafted goods”
gathered over 1,000 buyers and trade journalists from over 22 countries with 82 exhibiting brands on 1200 square meters of the Marshall-Haus. Exhibitors and visitors expressed their positive views of the new location’s architectural
ambiance that delivered light and a sense of relaxation among the active
bustling atmosphere.

The slogan “good things take their time” not only pertains to the products being exhibited at Selvedge Run, but also the brands present, the trade show itself is maturing and has successfully sharpened its profile. The organic growth comes from a rigorous selection of exhibitors and the special emphasis on sustainable relationships as well. After three years through Berlin’s fashion terrain, the specialists for high-quality denim and heritage brands have found their niche and can confidently look to the future.

The move to the west as well as the cooperation with Panorama Berlin has paid off. Feedback from exhibiting brands and visitors is consistently
positive. Klaus Kirschner, CEO of Stetson Europe, who participated in
Selvedge Run for the sixth time, sums it up: “Overall we are satisfied with the
show. We had more traffic than usual and for some of our customers, the new
location is very beneficial.” Alex Padmore of Iron Heart is also full of
praise: “So far, the fair is super successful for us, we are satisfied that we returned to Selvedge Run and definitely will come back again in summer.”

Selvedge Run does not only stand for special brands with a focus on tradition,
craftsmanship and quality but also for its unique community understanding. During the lapse of the three days not only was there exceptionally interesting collections along with looks on display, but also lots of happy faces and warm hugs. Shane Brandenburg, Sales Manager and Partner at Selvedge Run: “We are proud of the internationality and quality of our exhibitors and guests. Many brands, for example from Japan or the USA, are exclusively showing in Europe only here. We are also grateful that so many newcomers trust in us. In the future we will continue to rely on class and continuity. We aim on making Selvedge Run a regular, inspiring and reliable industry gathering. ”

The summer edition of Selvegde Run will take place July 4th to 6th 2018 at Marshall Haus on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
