Whether you’re a seasoned boot freak or just getting started in the world of higher end men’s footwear, it’s not hard to appreciate a brand as prolific as Alden. For their latest release, they have teamed up with Oakland’s Standard & Strange to put out the new Roland Boot in Black Walkabout leather.
Alden fans may have already realized that this is in fact another iteration of their popular Indy boot, but the leather is what makes all the difference here. Horween’s Walkabout leather starts as a nubuck which is then buffed, raising a nap on the outermost layer. Finally, it is waxed down to create a smooth finish, but one that will surely develop a lot of character very quickly with some wear. The package is complete with a full 360 reverse welt and a commando sole and black agatine eyelets.
Available for $590 at Standard & Strange.
