Porsche Design: 1919 Eternity911 1Mionth LtdEd

Prof. F. A. Porsche’s competencies as a designer combined with his engineering excellence still greatly influence the philosophy of Porsche Design today. His most famous creation: the 911, the Porsche sports car icon. In May 2017, the one millionth Porsche 911 rolled off the production line.

The special 1919 Datetimer Eternity One Millionth 911 model, Porsche Design’s most recent innovation, pays tribute to this classic of car design. The elegant black color of its titanium casing is achieved through a titanium carbide coating. The watch’s high-quality Swiss movement boasts both a Porsche Design Icon rotor and a 38-hour power reserve. Its seconds hand is identical to that of the car’s exterior, a color known as Irish green. The Porsche Design icon on the dial is inspired by the golden Porsche Crest on the front of the car. Did you know that the strap of the anniversary watch also pays homage to the 911 in that it is made from the leather used for the car’s seats. Even the stitching features the same thread as the sports car interior. The limited edition status of the watch [ only 130 pcs are available for purchase] is also reminiscent of the 911, or at least, of the very first 911, which had a power output of 130 hp, or 96 kW.
