It’s safe to say the team at Italian architecture firm doesn’t shirk heights. For its latest project, the company has built a new “sky pool” which floats a vertiginous 40 feet above ground; providing swimmers with the “feeling of floating.”
The pool was built as part of the Hotel Huburtus project and can be found in the famous ski and hiking area of Kronplatz, Northern Italy. To create the impression of “the water flowing into nothing, disappearing between pool and landscape,” designers installed a glass front and glass panel floor, with hidden edges which blend into the panoramic landscape thrown in for good measure. Depending on your disposition when it comes to high places, going for a dip here could either be zen-like or downright scary AF.
If you fall into the latter camp, then fear not, as the Hotel Hubertus also features an indoor sensory swimming pool and an outdoor saltwater pool. You can book a stay here. Just don’t forget to pack a towel.
Staying with dope pool designs, the Villa Clessidra is just ridiculous.
